I am tempted to rate this the #1 most important book for emotional health.
It's a tough call because I'm a book junkie and I’ve come across many truly transformational books. I’m not talking about bestsellers necessarily. Brilliant little books that are quietly sharing earth shattering insights that could be changing the world dramatically… if only people knew about them, read them, and actually implemented what they teach.
Without a doubt, this is one of those books!
I learned about “splits” directly from Charlie exactly one year ago. Charlie is an energy healer, and a potent one at that. I had been following his work for years. He doesn’t usually teach psychology, but he was so excited to share this material, I knew I had to hear it. He offered a live online workshop last February - 4 sessions, a week apart for a total of about 12 hours. Yeesh, I thought. That's a lot of talk. It had better be good.
It really was.
It took me a minute to grasp the concept. Charlie is a chatty guy. My brain likes concise, linear explanations. But eventually I got there. The light bulb went on. It was super exciting.
I won't give the idea away. The book explains things much better than I could in a brief post like this and I don't want to risk you assuming from my inadequate description that it's something you've heard before.
For me, the idea sank in deep. I love what is deceptively simple and elegantly powerful. It felt satisfying in the moment, but I wasn’t sure it was going to change anything.
The morning after the second session, I was lying in bed applying the practice and suddenly a jolt of energy moved through me. My whole body jerked. Something had just shifted. I wondered whether something had actually healed.
I got my answer a few days later when I found myself in a situation that would normally be highly aggravating for me and instead I felt love and affection start to flow through me toward the other person. I saw them through a new lens. It wasn’t just a mental shift. I was having a very different emotional reaction.
I was astonished. And then I was grateful.
Charlie’s book came out months later and I just finished reading it. I wish everyone could hear the theory explained by Charlie himself, But since that’s not possible, I am so thankful he put out this book.

Like any practice, this technique is not something you do once and you're done. New wounds keep coming up in life, and old wounds often have many layers. Fortunately, this practice helps with both. With even a tiny investment, you can reap great rewards.
But don't take my word for it. (Don't ever take my word for anything!) Read the book. Try the practice. Keep applying it, You'll see for yourself how it changes you. Probably quite quickly. Others will notice too. When they do, it will be your turn to share the source. It will feel great to pass it along.
Here’s to healing the inner wounds that keep us trapped in cycles of dissatisfaction (and worse). Thank you, Charlie, for your devotion to making lives better. ❤️🩹🙌🏽🙏🏽
